Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rewear (REWEAR LIMITED, “Rewear”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Via delivery app and the website at via.rewearapp.com (together, the “Service”). Via is Rewear’s in-house delivery network for moving orders between Rewear marketplace sellers and buyers.
Via is a tool for approved logistics partners and their riders, not a consumer app. By using Via you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account & identity
- Partner admins: name, email address, and password used to sign in and manage your company on Via.
- Riders: name and phone number (your phone number is used to create your login), and a password set for you by your company’s admin.
- Your role (partner admin or rider) and the logistics company you belong to.
Delivery operational data
- Pickup and drop-off details for each delivery, including the contact name, phone number, and address of the relevant Rewear seller and buyer, which we make available to the assigned partner and rider solely to complete that delivery.
- Order references, delivery status, timestamps, and delivery history.
Location information
- When a rider records proof of delivery, the app may capture the device’s GPS location at that moment to verify where the delivery was completed.
- Location is collected only while you are using the app to capture proof. Via does not track your location continuously or in the background.
Photos
- Proof-of-delivery photos captured with your device camera. Via uses live camera capture for proof and does not access your photo library.
Payout & bank details
- For partner companies: bank account number, bank, and the resolved account name, used to pay out delivery earnings. Payouts are processed by our payment provider (Paystack), and we store a payout recipient reference. We do not store card details.
Device & technical data
- A push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can alert you about new and updated deliveries.
- Device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic/log data.
2. How we use your information
- Operate the Service: create accounts, assign and coordinate deliveries.
- Connect pickups and drop-offs with the right partner and rider.
- Verify deliveries through proof of delivery (photo and, where available, location).
- Send operational push notifications (e.g. a delivery is available or assigned).
- Calculate and process partner payouts to bank accounts.
- Provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Permissions we request
- Camera: to capture proof-of-delivery photos.
- Location (while in use): to record where a delivery was completed when you capture proof.
- Notifications: to alert you about deliveries.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:
- Logistics partners and riders: delivery details are shared with the company and rider handling a delivery so they can complete it.
- Rewear: the marketplace the deliveries originate from, to coordinate orders and fulfilment.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Paystack (payouts), Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Google Firebase (push notifications), and our cloud storage/hosting providers (including for proof-of-delivery images).
- Legal and safety: where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rewear, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes (such as accounting, dispute resolution, and audit). Delivery and proof-of-delivery records may be retained to resolve disputes and meet record-keeping obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise the data.
6. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International data transfers
Our service providers may process and store data on infrastructure located outside Nigeria (for example, in the European Union). Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this Policy and applicable law.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@rewearapp.com.
9. Account and data deletion
- Riders: your account is managed by your company’s admin. Ask your admin to remove your account, or contact us at privacy@rewearapp.com and we will help.
- Partner admins: contact us at privacy@rewearapp.com to close your account and request deletion of your data.
We will delete personal data associated with your account, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it (for example, completed-delivery and payout records kept for accounting and dispute purposes).
10. Children’s privacy
Via is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Push notifications
We send operational notifications about deliveries. You can turn notifications off in your device settings, though doing so may mean you miss time-sensitive delivery alerts.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
