Delete your data

This page explains how to request deletion of some or all of your data from the Via app — operated by Rewear (REWEAR LIMITED), Rewear’s in-house delivery network — without deleting your account. If you want to remove your account entirely, see Delete your account instead.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@rewearapp.com with the subject line “Delete my data” and include:
- Your full name as it appears in the app.
- The email address (partner admins) or phone number (riders) used to sign in to Via, so we can locate and verify your account.
- Which data you want deleted — for example, your proof-of-delivery photos or captured proof-of-delivery location — or tell us you want all eligible data removed.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
- We complete deletion of eligible data within 30 days, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it (see below).
- We confirm by email once it is done. Your account remains active.
Data we can delete on request
- Proof-of-delivery photos and any captured proof-of-delivery location that are not part of a record we are required to retain.
- Your push-notification token (you will stop receiving delivery alerts).
- Optional profile details, where they are not needed to operate your account or an active delivery.
Data that is kept, and for how long
Because your account stays active, some data is needed to keep the Service working, and some must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations:
- Account and identity details (name, email or phone, password) are kept while your account is open — delete your account to remove these.
- Data tied to an active or pending delivery is kept until that delivery is completed.
- Completed-delivery records and payout/financial records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping and tax obligations, after which we delete or anonymise them.
